Yubike Tours
Your Local Experts for European Cycling Tours
Yubike Tours are a small, Amsterdam-based operator running guided cycling holidays in Italy, France and the Netherlands, with a strong focus on art, culture and history. They were founded by Micaela, an art restorer who moved from Rome to Amsterdam in 2011, and Carlos, a painter and teacher who grew up between Chile and the United States and came to Europe to explore it on foot and by bike. Both remain closely involved in leading their tours.
Their tours are itinerant, moving from town to town along quiet roads and paths the founders have spent years scouting. Most routes are easy to intermediate, with the occasional more challenging section, so they suit beginners and experienced riders alike. Formats include bike and hotel tours through Umbria, Lazio, Tuscany, Provence and the Loing and Seine valleys, bike and barge journeys through Holland and Belgium, and a bike and sail trip around Elba Island. Tours are led by multilingual guides, with a support vehicle, luggage transfers, handpicked hotels, and bikes and e-bikes available for hire. Riders regularly get off the bike to explore villages, archaeological sites, museums and local food and wine.
Yubike describe their approach as slow, mindful travel built on responsible tourism, with the aim of giving guests time to absorb their surroundings rather than simply cover distance. They keep groups small and contact personal, welcome an international clientele, and offer custom tours on request.

Take a cycling trip from Montargis to Paris, riding on quiet roads and through a rolling landscape. This tour blends the history, poetry, and natural beauty of France's greatest city and its most idyllic countryside. We find traces of the Gallo-Roman era and the famous Château Fontainbleu, as we follow the steps of Joan d’Arc through the beautiful countryside that inspired the impressionist painters. On this stunning French cycling tour, you'll discover a land of forests, legends, medieval castles, and flower-filled canals in a voyage leading to Paris.
The average distance travelled through the French countryside is approximately 25/30 miles a day. The route follows asphalted secondary roads and field paths every now and then. There are some hilly stretches along the way which you can also walk if you'd prefer to take in the sights. You will ride through France's forest landscapes, following rivers' journeys through the landscape, and you will cycle alongside tranquil canals with their many locks and (former) lock-keepers houses.
The area of France between Paris and Montargis is famous for its easy pace of life and its friendly people. It has a rich history and is well-known for its excellent cider and cheeses. On this Paris to Montargis bike tour, we will explore historic towns, castles and villages and you’ll enjoy excellent food and wines both on board and in cozy towns along the way.
Each night, our experienced cycling guide will offer a briefing after dinner, explaining the route you will take in the coming day. In the evenings, you will be able to take walking tours of the cities and towns you stop off at along the way.

Cycle from Orvieto to Argentario, in the lush land of the Etruscans
Yubike Tours' Orvieto to Argentario is an eight-day guided bike trip through the ancient land of the Etruscans, linking Umbria, the Tuscia region of northern Lazio and the southern Tuscan coast. The final days are spent on the coast: the hilltop Roman city of Cosa, the Feniglia pine forest, Orbetello's lagoon and the hidden coves of Monte Argentario, with plenty of chances to swim. A tour leader rides with the group throughout, backed by a support vehicle and daily luggage transfers.
